Hurray for me! I finally saw the movie today, almost a week after its release here in the Philippines. It was worth the wait! I totally enjoyed the flick and even found myself laughing at some parts. Oh Joss Whedon, why must you be sooo good at mixing action and humor? Now I get it why even non-comic book fans want to watch this over and over again. A movie overflowing with eye-candies. How can anyone resist?
Mark Ruffalo was a revelation! I had reservations when he was cast as Bruce Banner/The Hulk because I had already warmed up to Edward Norton’s portrayal. But he proved me wrong. He handled Banner’s inner conflicts really well. And who could ever forget The Hulk after that epic scene with Loki? Haha!
I know Steve Rogers and Thor were a hit with the ladies. My friend Gen couldn’t stop swooning over Captain America because of his boy-next-door looks. She likes those types of guys. I suppose ladies were drawn to Thor because of his muscles and the accent. LOLs! Me? I preferred Hawkeye. I don’t know what’s with Jeremy Renner that he managed to make a brooding guy with a bow and arrows so sexy. He and Scarlett were just too cute for words in the flick. I’m definitely on-board team agent Barton/Romanoff.
And speaking of my newfound love for Mr. Renner, perhaps it’s about time that I start watching his previous flicks. I heard The Hurt Locker was good. I’m definitely seeing The Bourne Legacy once it comes out too. Ohhh, and can they please do a Hawkeye movie? I swear I’ll be one of the first to watch it… if only to see him do archery one more time.
