How was your weekend? Mine was a productive one that I barely had any time to blog. First off, it's hello seafoods again at Casa Perez! My dad finally gave us clearance to buy fish and shrimps after that shipping accident last August. Menu variety is limited when you only have veggies, chicken and meat to mix and match for meals. I can finally enjoy my sister's buttered garlic shrimps. Woot, woot! So here's how I spent the weekend:
It was Carbon day in the morning while in the afternoon, my sister and I went to SM to buy the new refrigerator. I know I posted a different ref crush but after much deliberation, the whole family decided to get a Samsung unit instead. Our sights were set on the digital inverter 11.4 cu ft model but they ran out of stock. I'm sensing a pattern already. If we're hell-bent on buying something, they either end up out of stock or sold-out on the day we decide to purchase it. Grrr! Good thing they had the 10.7 cu ft unit available because it was Samsung or nothing at that point. No one wanted to settle for Panasonic or Electrolux. Hehe!
Since we had some extra cash afterwards, my sister bought an external hard drive. We badly need one since the movies we've downloaded are clogging up the laptop's memory. So yeah, she got one in red. The Master's Sun episodes can now be saved for future viewing marathons. Yayyy!
We decided to go to I.T. Park late in the afternoon. I wanted to show a family friend where I worked before and I heard there were some new establishments in the area. True enough, I was surprised with the changes. After some picture taking, we decided to eat at Dong Juan because my officemates raved about their famous fried rice. In fairness, masarap nga! The rice itself was enough. Pwede na walang ulam. Now that we’ve been to IT Park, we're thinking of going to Taoist Temple next week. Turista lang ang peg.
Since we were already full by the time we got home, I baked some cake instead so that dad would have some snacks to munch on the next day. I used the ever trusted recipe from Foodess that is now a family favorite. The cake itself is so moist you don't need any frosting to top it. I vowed to my sister that once we get the new ref I am definitely baking some cupcakes again.
So there, pretty busy weekend for my standards. But I’m thankful because I actually got to relax and enjoy instead of wallowing in boredom at home.
