Give me some Belgian Waffles!

I first heard of Famous Belgian Waffles from Babe For Food's blog. Never had the chance to try it out at SM since the stall was always full of people wanting their dose of this comforting snack food. I can't blame them. The aroma wafting through the area is just so hard to resist. But just recently, they opened a branch in Ayala (6th floor, Metro Food Court) much to the delight of my officemates.

Finally got to try #belgianwaffles. Their Banana Hazelnut is worth all the hype! #foodiefinds #waffles #dessert
Yesterday I finally had the chance to sample one of their best-sellers and let me tell you, the Banana Hazelnut is worth all the price and hype. I love how the fillings don't overpower the fluffy texture of the waffle. Instead, you are treated to a fine mixture of flavors that will leave you wanting for more. So I dragged my sister today and got ourselves some waffles again. Choco Banana for her and Choco Peanut Butter for yours truly. I was sooo stuffed I just wanted to sleep after lunch time. Hehe!

Ohhh, and look what I got for my afternoon snack yesterday.

Childhood memories. I remember how I would beg my parents to buy me one whenever we were at the grocery. It was luxury for a kid then! #kiddietreats #yanyan #foodstagram
Brings back childhood memories, doesn't it? I remember how I'd beg for my grandparents, uncle, or even my parents to buy me one every time we were at the grocery. To me, this was luxury for a kid back then.

  7. I hope they bring Slappy Cakes to Cebu! It's a make-your-own-pancakes (literally) type of resto, so you choose the kind of batter, the kind of syrup, and the kind of toppings. Of course my favorite was banana with Nutella. NOMNOMNOM. :D
